2C'o8 class chalet

hey people!

WOW...the class chalet 27-29 was fantastic!really had a wonderful time with my fellow classmates and buddies, wish that they have the same thoughts too. Even though not everyone were cooperative, we still managed to get the ball rolling by doing something to spent our time there. No plans, no suggestion= outcome is GREAT^.=!


On the first day, i remembered that i board the bus late and those who met at doreen's house have to chase after the bus i took!it was seriously very humorous seeing all of you wanting to cross the road to board the bus, ended up blaming me of being late upon answering all the calls!
met mr. ng and checked into our room. Next, some of us went to ntuc fairprice to buy food for bbq night, spent alot of money till we only left a litle to spend. During night time, after all the students turned up, teachers turned up one by one. the malays even brought their friends as usual even though they did promised me that they won't. Can't believe that they will treat us this way, ignoring us and go along with their friends, except halizah. Came back only for food, drinks and place to sleep, what FREELOADERS are they. After the bbq night, we went for a walk along the beach with two of jian yu's friends robin and yong jun who joined in the celebration and most importantly introduced themselves. walking walking to no destination, we sat in a circle in the middle of the path, chat and sing..went back cause farah rushed us to open the door for them. Can't believe my eyes that she would actually stole some cans of anchors from jianyu without even informing him. He was so mad, so were us. hopefully they will apologise to all of us about what they did throughout the chalet. Since when did they changed so much, can't even recognise them now.gosh!after the stroll, we went back to have some rest, i occupied the bed below for one hour and offered by bed to doreen and brenda, hehe indeed they slept like a dead log! can't continue to sleep, chat with robin and yong jun for a moment as the two of them can't sleep as well.miaojun went out to walk for the whole night, dont even know where she went..didnt even ask me along!haha.


Second day, it was much much better. we found something to entertain us, went to watch the guys swimming with miao jun before lunch cause doreen was sleeping, brenda using miao's lappy. We chatted along the side of the pool with the guys and they even tricked us to go closer and guess what? they sprayed water on both of at. Kind of drenched after that, i sat at the chair with miao jun to rush the guys, they kept throwing ben's specs around int he pool and swim after it...much laughter's though. Came back after the swim not long later, miao jun and i walked quickly and unintentionally saw something which we aren't suppose to see. YIKES! can't believe that they would play such an disgusting game, didn't even respect themselves. We were all stunned upon hearing or seeing that, pondering: "What kind of friends are they? making us feel so awkward and disgusted!" Went for lunch, sky starting to drizzle..cancel our trip to cycling and stayed indoor to play cards and lappy. noise level was kind of loud and all were on cloud nine. the night bbq was awesome! the food were so tasty and much cooperation were involved. Everyone helped to bbq the food except the malays and after bbq-ing all of us went in to have our dinner while watching the television. After dinner, we chatted almost everything, played cards and watch shows and movies. Twilight was rather boring at the start and i dozed off...sorry to said so brenda, "The movie was very boring..." All of us slept till the sun rose, everyone slept like a log! gosh!having a hard time waking them up!! Overall we had some fun!(:


...remember a drunken will never admit that he/ she was drunk even if they were...haha^.=!!
...having funn was our main objective and everyone achieved that! 2C'o8 november chalet ROCKS man!!hehe...didnt regret that i was in that class!!KEEP MOVING FORWARD^.=!!

MOVIE!

Yesterday i went to watch High School Musical 3 with Pat Jon, Raiyan, Mahdhir, Hamidah, Farah, Wen Feng, Amalia and Sabrina (Amalia's sister) at Century Square. Before meeting them, i attended SDMA meeting for my upcoming video production competition. As usual, I'm the last whom arrived. When i arrived, all of them were already started to eat their lunch at the Open Plaza, PatJon didn't heard clearly that i told him to wait for me then eat our lunch together...never mind it's alright. I was the last who ate finished my lunch with the help of PatJon, Farah and Hamidah. Felt kind of guilty that everyone have to wait for me before moving off to another location =x


Before we enter the cinema, we bid farewell to Atikah and Amirul, they have to go home to do some personal things. We continued. I sat beside WenFeng and Farah. I shared two big cups of soft drinks and a large popcorn with Hamidah and Farah whereas WenFeng bought a medium combo for herself. During the movie, WenFeng managed to finished up all her food while the rest of us were struggling to empty our drinks and food. GOSH! i was HORRIFIED that WenFeng have a great appetite, anyways it reminds me of Doreen the DINOSAUR..hahas^^


The movie was pretty interesting. Storyline was alright whereas the dance steps and the singing were amazing. PatJon said that he will be teaching us some of the dance steps for this coming Secondary One Orientation Camp facilitators performance, can't wait till that day. Guess that i will missed my Secondary three level camp as it clashes. The worst experience i had inside a cinema was that during the best part if the movie, the big screen BLACKOUT and all the lights were switch off for like five to ten minutes. Therefore, during the period we chatted about the dance steps and what's going to happen next..exciting huh?! Later on, the screen continued to show the footage but there was no sound for like three minutes and the lights were not even switch off until the very last part of the video. End of movie, i like the credit part most..it was like so COOL! how i wish i can learn how to do that too...learning in progress ya'll!(:

NACLI Level One Camp

Hey people!

Sorry for not posting any post for the past few days, i was at National Community Leadership Institute for SLC NACLI Level One Camp from 5-7 November 2008.


During the first day, most of us met mdm. sunarti at buena vista mrt station platform at 7.15am whereas some of their parents sent them straight to the venue. When we reached there, one of the staff told us that we were very early and informed us that the camp will only starts at 9am. So we proceed to the canteen to have our breakfast. Few minutes later, one of the guy from Swiss Cottage Secondary School named Jie Wei joined us for breakfast. I heard from the rest that he was very retard, clumsy and pervert throughout and after the camp and i totally agreed to it. He wasn't even good looking at all in fact, he looks very nerd and tall.YUCKS!!Later on, we went to the learning lounge where we supposed to be meeting at, slowly one by one Yio Chu Kang, Greenview, Swiss Cottage and Commonwealth Secondary Schools enter the room too. We initiated to do self-introduction to all of them and they replied. The instructors asked us to sit on the floor and did their self-introduction to us. At that moment, all of us sat accordingly to our schools. Next, we played some interactive games to know each other better. They were 'Evolution', 'War Chant' and many more..for the war chant, all of us were grouped into four different groups and each were categorised 'Chinese warriors', 'cowboys', 'hooligans' and 'red Indians'. My group was the 'Chinese warriors' we have to do a mascot for our Chinese warrior using newspapers,masking tape and markers. Then one of the instructor, Darren taught us the actions for each category. All of us have to plan a strategy to attack the others at the same direction and timing otherwise one of us have to take out one of our shoe.
After the interactive games, each group have to do a team flag, team motto, team cheer , assign the team leader and asst. leader and our pledge. My team was named as 'PENGUINS' and they were green cause we got the green water bottles and bandannas. I did the drawings for the team flag, i drew a cute penguin protected by a shield and a sword with a crown on top of the head wrote 'bravery'. Our team motto was "OWN YOUR WORLD!" which means whatever things we do in our lives creates our own future/world, so we must always face all obstacles positively with courage as OBSTACLES=OPPORTUNITIES! After lunch, the instructors taught us the importance of goal setting and time management through sports and team bonding games. They were 'moon ball', 'shoot the hoop' and 'captain's ball.' After each game, the instructors will point out some of our mistakes and guided us through actions on correcting them and praised us on all the commendable things we did. Therefore, all of us thought that the instructors here were very different from normal camp instructors, instead of scolding or complaining about us, they used ACTIONS to correct us and praised us in whatever positive things we did. During the captain's ball game, my group lost therefore we were forfeited to serve everyone during dinner. Instead of grumbling on all the bad points, all of us faced it positively and forced everyone lots and lots of food to clear all the food on the table, as our objective was to clear all the food on the trays. But in the end, none of us were not able to empty the trays as there were lots of food and the rest complained that next time they should let us win so that they wont get tortured by us =p!First day ended very quickly and lights OUT!


On the second day, i was appointed to be the NACLI flag raiser. During the singing of national anthem, my flag pole strings were tangled so in the middle, i pulled the flag all the way down to turn the flag another way to untangle it. Imagine during flag raising, you saw a flag going UPs and DOWNs..gosh!the moment i came down i felt so embarrassed as everyone started asking me the same question, "what happened to your flag?" Nevertheless, at least i made the first step to try doing the flag raising. After breakfast, we played some teamwork games and sports games to work better as a team. They were 'let's boogie', 'rafting' ,'skipping on the rope with nine people in it', 'passing all the items including the bucket to the back using pillow cases' and 'volleyBOOMball.' My team won both the rafting and pillow cases games which required strong bonding and teamwork. After we completed the two games, we jumped, screamed and cheered loudly then ran all the way to the front to HI-5 with all our team members. After that, we took all the other team flags and waved proudly for them and cheered loudly for them to get motivated to complete their games. During the pillow case game, after 'cowboys' and 'random' completed their game, they joined us to cheered loudly for 'banana trees' so the multi-purpose room was filled with cheers and all shouted "GO BANANA GOGO BANANA!!" repeatedly. Whereas for the rafting game, each group were asked to move diagonally to the opposite side, planks and wooden blocks have to be colourful and have to collect all the balls in the room. Everyone started moving very quickly at the start as we pass the wooden planks or blocks to the front after everyone squeezed into the rest slowly. In the middle of the court, all the groups started to do some trading of the our group colour planks and blocks and we even agreed to trade the placing of our position to the opposite to move faster. Rules are whenever anyone or any wooden plank touched the ground, all the team members from that group have to come down and do five jumping-jacks orderly. While my team was doing jumping-jacks, 'banana trees' faster stepped onto all our planks and we went over to theirs. They were some discussion in the middle as confusion started to get into place. Finally my team managed to sort out first and slowly moved to the end of the river, while the rest were still discussing in the middle. When the crowd started to disperse, my group was doing the formation at the ending that's why my group was the first to complete. After completing, we cheered for the rest and went out to the auditorium to choose our dance partner for tonight concert. When the game ended, we rushed in and continued with volleyBOOMball, whenever it wasn't our turn, we rushed out to learn and practise our dance steps for the "KETCHUP SONG." When our turn arrived, we rushed in again to participate in the game. Throughout the game timing, we rushed in and out continuously, that's why we lost all three rounds as we were not even concentrating on any. After lunch, we proceed to learning lounge.


Miss Choy then break a good news to us that we were invited to join the talk by Mr. Nick V. together with the adults. We all agreed to go to the motivational talk even though most of the BNSS students went to the talk before. The talk was kind of expected on what Mr. Nick V. was going to say. Only some of the parts were interesting, i used TaiChin's phone to record the whole talk. During the talk some of us almost doze off...z.z.z.When Q n A session started, Pat Jon asked a question which relate to most of us which is about asking NICK how did he manage to make or take his first step on the things he dream to do. Hamidah and I was holding our tears when Nick was answering cause deep inside our heart we really wanted to know how. Most of us took down notes throughout the talk. Motivational Talk ended, the hugging Nick session started. Mahdhir, Hamidah and I went down first to hug Nick. The feeling of hugging him was so different and special which we cant explain in words to others so they decided to go down and give him a big hug(: When everyone who wants to hug him hugged already, we asked him politely whether we could take a group photo with him and he agreed. He also chatted with us for a short while and left the room. After the talk, i suppose most of us got very inspired and changed our attitude of doing things by keep TRYING TRYING and TRYING...Dinner time ended, all of us mugged to complete our dance, short skit and make your own music performing items for the concert. We extended the timing from the Emcees and they agreed.


In the end, when the concert started, all of the groups have not completed their performing items. The first performance by my team was the IMPROMPTU MUSIC MAKING. Amirul (asst. leader) took a metal biscuit tin and weiliang (leader) took our flag pole. He brief us that when he hit the pole on the stage once we all stormed orderly one time. All of us agreed. The Malay Wedding music making by amirul started, the African storming by rest of us started too. Making the performance more exciting, Fatin shouted some weird African sounds loudly and the audience started to laugh. Amirul asked the audience to clap and make weird noises together with us. The atmosphere of the room changed, everyone participated, PatJon started making some weird Red Indian sound, they rest did some too. Performance ended everyone clapped of us, i felt very honoured as the impromptu performance turned out to be very exciting and enjoyable. The second performance by my team was the "KETCHUP SONG DANCE" my dance partner was Amirul, during the introduction, we stood at the front and started dancing with the rest. worst part was amirul kept on complaining that i was very stiff when i was dancing during practise session. Chorus part came, all of us dance together individually with the steps and the audience clapped for us. After chorus, we asked some of the audience up on stage and taught them some of the dance steps for the dance as we didn't cherograph any dance steps for the rest of the song..PatJon and Amirul started their partner dancing and it was really really funny. Last item was the short skit called "BIG Rocks of our Life." I was the narrator, Kerry was the teacher and the rest acted as students. We edited the script that was given by the instructors and started our skit. Even though the skit ran smoothly at the front part, there were some confusion in the middle of the script as Amirul forgot his lines but in the end the skit managed to get onto the right track and ended nicely. End of performance everyone gave a round of applauded. I felt very elated as i feel that my public speaking skills have improved tremendously throughout the camp and i even participated very actively and voice out all my comments and my team listened to them and carried out with those during any camp items. The performance i enjoyed most was the dance "YMCA" by random. They engaged all the audience to join the performance during the middle part till the end of the song. All we did was to form a long train and move around the whole room and when the chorus part came all of us stood still facing the opposite people and started doing the actions of 'Y' 'M' 'C' 'A'!Whereas the performance i love the most was the dance "CHORI CHORI" by the "COWBOYS" PatJon was the choreographer of the song and all his team members dance orderly as what he told. So that dance was the most organised and splendid among the rest as there was a mixture of Indian and Hip Hop dance. The cutest dance among all was by "Banana Tree" they danced the song 'HEY MICKEY!' Hamidah and Annie Choreographed the dance. From the start to the chorus the lead dance was by Hamidah, Annie and Mahdhir as they used most of the dance steps we learnt during the E4 Cluster for their song while the rest don't how how to dance so they did the background dancing at the back acting as cute little mouses.hahas^^During on of the games, Ester was forfeited and Amirul started shouting PatJon name and everyone joined in. PatJon gave in and stood up so the emcees asked us what we want to forfeit them and everyone started shouted WALTZ DANCING..hehe..both if them dance very gracefully and it was really very nice, but it seems like patjon is pulling ester here and there as he danced too fast and ester don't know the dance steps. After the dance, everyone started talking about this topic and i think they were kind of exuberance as well as embarrassed too. Concert Night ended and all of us went back to our air-conditioned room and rest for awhile and most of us went down and meet the rest at the parade square half an hour later for night walk. Some of the guys went to play basketball while the rest started our night walk. After a few minutes, most of us realised that we were very exhausted so we took a lot of pictures and go back to the parade square and laid there to chat with each other and enjoy the night sky..One of the instructor David saw us and asked us to go back to our room as he said "Trust me you will need a lot of sleep for tomorrow hiking." So we listened and proceed to our rooms.


On our way back, Mahdhir and Taichin started telling others to go to their room anytime after we bathe for a overnight party. Even though the rules are we are not supposed to enter the another gender room for any reasons as there were CCTV installed in each level. While i was in the toilet bathing, i heard amirul, mahdhir, taichin, patjon and ester voices in my room. The moment i went out, i didn't saw amirul and they rest push taichin,patjon mahdhir and i into the toilet as the Resident Manager was knocking on our door. It should be our room was too noisy.
While rest outside was talking to the security, rina open a bit of the door and asked us to SPRAY WATER..taichin and mahdhir started playing with the shower tap and dropped the metal knob on the floor twice. So it goes "PIANG PIANG PIANG..twice! loudly." then when the security guard asked what happened the rest answered one of the room mate was bathing inside and the metal shower knobs were spoilt. The security started to take down notes. Then Mdm. Vahi went into the room and checked that there were no boys inside. She was suspicious of the extra pair of sport shoe inside our room which belongs to patjon and she asked why are they six people in the room and ester admitted that she was from the next room. She was told to go back to her room immediately, inside the toilet PatJon was acting very funny actions and taichin and mahdhir kept playing with the shower tap. All of us inside were laughing silently..Few minutes later both of them went out the room. The rest faster opened the door and the first reaction of us was "PHEW!!" whereas mahdhir was taking out his phone showing around that the time was '12.02am' and expecting us to wished him a happy birthday.

All of us were stunned and wished him a 'happy birthday' the taichin and mahdhir sat at a corner covered with blanket and patjon sat at another corner hoping that mdm.vathi wont check our room again..we took turns to peep into the door viewer to check whether she was still there. She kept checking level two rooms and sat at the staircase directly in front of my room to make sure that no one will be walking outside..so inside the room we remained to talk silently. Followed by singing a SILENT BIRTHDAY SONG for mahdhir. It was so funny that we started laughing. Ester kept calling wenfeng to check who still survives in our room. One hour plus past later, Ester and Jasmine started to knocked our door repeatedly and asked whether any of us have mdm. vathi number because someone from her room was forcing herself by using her fingers to dig her throat to make herself vommit after eating a lot of food. Ester and Jasmine panic and managed to get into the line with mdm. vathi while they were walking off, Mahdhir and TaiChin started running up to their room to accompany their one and only room mate , Wu Ding.


PatJon remained in our room as all his room mates were somehow like gangsters and they smoked. So he insisted to sleep in our room. We Chatted on the bed from 12plus till 2am. Then we went to sleep as patjon,wenfeng and kerry dosed off first. Rina,Annie and i started chatting awhile more and turned in. We woke up at 6.30am by wenfeng as she was the only one who heard the five alarm clocks..the rest were kind of deaf when sleeping. We shifted three of the beds back to the original place first with the help of pat jon while annie was bathing. Carrying the bed, the side of the bed detached and we spoilt the bed so we paused and fixed the bed. But it turned out worst then what we expected..ester in the next room brushing her teeth told us that she could hear the pushing of the bed sound so loudly and the banging part too. We laughed and after pushing everything to the original place, pat jon went back to his room to wash up. We packed everything into our bags while waiting at our individual lockers.


After washing up, all of us went down to the parade square for flag raising. Later on, we proceed up to the Learning Lounge. The instructors gave instructions for the Adventure Trail at Kent Ridge Park, They passed us a few first aid bags for each team and a map of the park. We did some planning on all the locations we will be going and Amirul and i wrote down all the details on the piece of the paper. The journey started, we left the room forgetting the three instructors who will be following us as they went to the washroom. Luckily they managed to catch up with our pace by using the buggie car. hahahs...^^ The leader, Wu Ding lead the team to the canopy walk by reading the map and Loy checked and gave instructions at the back to make sure that we went the right way. At that moment, i realised that i don't know how to read the map correctly and finally learnt how to read and gave valuable advises on the way to make sure that the route will be smooth. I managed to captivate everyone attention and they agreed so they went on with my plans on some of the stations. I felt very elated as the Sec 3s and Sec 4s from other schools does not look down on our school pupils who were only Sec 2s when we voice out our comments. The most tedious station was the Nature Walk. Li Hui lead us during the walk and she doesn't even know how to read the map so Amirul went forward to help her and Loy shouted the directions. She bluffed us during the walk when she saw sunlight and told us that we will be reaching soon whereas there was still another 500m upon completing the last station. At some parts of the forest, we were unsure which way to go and we check the signs of footprints of people and read the map to make sure that we were going the right way. We help each other and throughout the camp, we took lots of photos together. For example, while we were trekking up the forest, choy shouted stop and asked us to stand still and take photos. We were shocked and did what we were told. The station which i enjoyed the most was the Canopy Walk. We were the only team who have enough time to compete canopy walk and all we have to do was to count how many wooden planks are there on the canopy walk even the smallest pieces have to be counted. So we split ourselves into two groups and started counting together from both sides then added up the number of planks. All of us were giddy while counting the planks as it was from the top and when we look down at the planks counting we can see the great height we were at. Si Zhan even used his water to make marking on the planks and i told him that it was useless cause water evaporated!hahahs^^


After the Adventure Trail, we went to the canteen for our lunch then we went to our respective rooms to bathe. 2.30pm to meet at learning lounge. The instructors shared their thoughts with us about the way we did the Adventure Trail they spotted a lot of positive ways and praised us and also told us that both teams have to improve on their TIME MANAGEMENT as we did not keep check of the time and reached the NACLI CAMP later than what was expected. Followed by discussion of our team reflection and sent someone who did not present before to present to the rest on the white board with the big piece of paper. Amirul and I took turns to write the points, while waiting, the rest and i helped by designing the piece of paper using all the colour markers we found to make it COLOURFUL!hahahs..Fauzan went forward to present to the rest for our reflection. After all presentation, the instructors showed us a video which they made with the photos they took this past few days of us and the video was amazing as most of the pictures captivated our EMOTIONS be it happy or gloomy. End of day, we were sad to be dispersed to our orginal. We got each other contacts and left the place. I MISS EVERYONE OF THEM SO SO MUCH!!expt jiewei!hahahs =p

National Young Leaders' Day Talk

Today i went to a very inspiring talk at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I was told that every year, thousands of young people just like me gather together to hear from real-life leaders who share their hearts about their leadership lessons, both challenges and successes. Therefore, i felt that i am very fortunate that i was one of the lucky ones who was able to attend this talk.


The special speakers for the talk are, Mr. Teo Chee Hean, Mr. Martin Tan, Mr. Howard Shaw, Mr. Dylan Wilk, Mr. Eugene Heng and MR. NICK VUJICIC. Through the talk i learnt a lot of leadership skills that i will be applying in my near future to believe in myself so that we will inspire and lead others well. Moreover, i gain a lo. Until our t of knowledge such as FEAR is a false evidence appearing real but actually they are LIES! everyone have to treat their goals as an ART, don't give up, keep trying, hold on then we will have the strengths to succeed as PRACTISE MAKES PERFECT! TRYING = HOPE which is PRICELESS! OBSTACLES = OPPORTUNITIES! We will never know what will happen unless we keep on TRYING! unless KNOWLEDGE is changed being ACTIONS, otherwise our knowledge will be USELESS! Finally, i have to follow my heart and keep trying to pursue my DREAMS and GOALS in life..i will then overcome all my disabilities. SO MUST YOU!!^^

class chalet invitation cards making MARATHON!

Today we went to Doreen house after my class Geography Remedial. I brought the invitation cards for our class chalet with designs to her house, we divided the cards equally and wrote all the information in it. Ended up, i was the one who did most of it, all of them grumbled that they have 'ugly handwriting's' or they were 'tired.' I continued to wrote the cards one by one..after two hours, all of us were lethargic so Ben and Ian suggested to play a game which they saw on television.


All of us tore one piece of paper into small pieces and wrote a few words which includes an action and a noun. One of them acted as the director, one acted as the guesser and another two acted as the actors. we changed the position in clockwise for every round. Most of the words that the actors acted were so funny that we laughed until mostly rolled on the floor.^^


We played the game till 7.30pm..then we proceeded home. In total, we completed 39 invitation cards for all our classmates including ourselves and 13 invitation cards for our beloved teachers whom have taught us. end of day, i ENJOYED myself alot!hope that others felt that too(:

SLC Induction Programme

Today the school new secondary two Service Learning Club (SLC) members went to Eunos CC for a introduction talk to the PCYM committee. the talk was rather boring...the lady keeps "basically...basically...basically...non-stop" and she opened her mouth so damn small as if she's mumbling. ohhs NO OFFENCE!=x


Later on, we were separated into two different groups to work on two different projects with the Eunos CC PCYM committee. I was in the group who were planning to do a FORUM. Firstly, we introduced ourselves to the committee member. Secondly, we suggested on topics we are interested in doing for the forum. Thirdly, we went in depth into the topics and vote which we are interested in doing. One of the committee member, Yong Kiong told us to prepare suggestions on more topics which we are keen in doing and things we want to do for the forum meeting. Lastly, we were presented a SLC t-shirt which was so damn damn big, and a ring file on more information about PCYM. This project will last for the next half a year..pretty long huh?!GOSH!!


Anyways, i didn't had a good day after the Induction Programme. Some unpleasant things overcasted me...feeling troubled?i suppose. just don't feel like talking about it..so don't ask me what happened alright?thanks=(
